If you’ve been around an inspired person recently, you probably remember what makes them different. Such passionate individuals are smiling without any obvious reason. They are energetic, talk about what moves them and don’t hide their feelings. They send you positive vibes and seem to enjoy every minute of the day. It’s great to be around them, with daily life so stressful sometimes, full of responsibilities, anxiety, being in a hurry, and never having time for yourself. Let’s change that. Let’s make inspiration your new habit. Once you learn how to find it right here without changing anything, you’ll know how to be constantly inspired. Here are little things you can do today to find inspiration:
1. Count your blessings.
Being grateful is a way of living. Try it today. Wake up and write down five things you’re thankful for. Then, throughout the day, do your best to stop every now and then and notice what’s around you that other people don’t have. Appreciate the big things, but also the little ones that you’ve always taken for granted. Once you start doing that, many more reasons to be grateful will show up. Embrace them. Become a grateful person and you won’t see life as an obligation anymore, but as this series of days, each of which is given to you as a gift.
2. Relax.
Getting a good night’s sleep is not enough. You need to wind down, chill and just empty your mind all the time between work tasks, daily chores and the countless thoughts in your mind. Here are some ways to do that: Have a morning ritual: Get up a bit earlier and have some me-time. Dedicate it to pleasant activities like reading, writing, listening to music, or just drinking your tea or coffee in peace. Take breaks frequently: While working, take a 10-minute break after you’ve been focused for 30-60 minutes. That boosts productivity and lets you take things easy. Do something else while resting that’s not connected to work. Meditate: Meditation is a great way to let go of random thoughts and feel peaceful in the chaos of daily life. You can do it whenever you have a few minutes with no distractions around you. Have a bedtime routine: Use the evening for restful activities. Take a long soothing bath, read a novel, journal your thoughts, declutter your room and plan out tomorrow to get prepared for it mentally.
3. Surround yourself with positive people.
You’re the average of the five people you spend most time with. Whoever is in your surroundings affects you way more than you can imagine. So it’s no wonder that you feel upset around negative people — those who judge you, talk about problems, never listen, complain about life, and don’t take any action toward their goals. Imagine being surrounded by inspiring and optimistic people all the time. You’ll talk about ideas and think of great things to do with your life. Your energy will increase around them, and you’ll be motivated and inspired for the whole day.
4. Consume inspirational information.
Read great books, maybe biographies of successful people, short spiritual stories, poetry, personal development books, or something similar. Watch motivational videos of the leaders of today to see how startup founders wake up and get to work right away, or what new strategy business owners use to grow their revenue. You’ll see passion in the eyes of these people. Choose any TEDx talk you want; you can’t go wrong with that. Read quotes throughout the day. A simple sentence crafted by someone you admire can have so much wisdom in it that it can immediately give you an inspiration boost. Listen to podcasts or audiobooks. There’s a lot you can understand about life and yourself, many creative ideas to hear and conversations between entrepreneurs to enjoy, by simply following someone’s podcast. It’s a great choice if you’re not much of a reader, and it’s something you can do on the way to work or while in the gym. That’s a fantastic way to learn, grow and get inspired by what others have to share.
5. Visualize success.
You can find inspiration right in this moment, without doing or changing anything. Be by yourself and try to empty your mind. Now start visualizing. It’s similar to meditation, but now you’re imagining the ideal lifestyle, all your goals achieved. You can see yourself successful, feel the way you’ll feel then, see how others look at you in a different way, get a glimpse of the power and passion in your eyes if you keep following the right path long enough. That’s an instant motivation boost and helps your mind stay focused on the end result. Make that a daily practice and you’ll get closer to your goals sooner than you think.
6. Feel good about yourself.
Think of all your good sides. Admit your achievements and past successes and talk about them in front of others. Even write down everything you like about yourself each morning. You’ll raise your self-esteem, feel comfortable in your skin, and look and feel more successful than ever. This will affect reality soon. Remember all the nice things people have said about you. Believe them. Every time you pass the mirror at home, stop for a second and look at your reflection. Stand straight, put a light smile on your face and enjoy the view. Little things like these can help a lot with finding inspiration in daily life. Soon you’ll be great company and others will ask you about your secret.
