Most business owners don’t know how to market their business online and end up spending money in areas that leave them spending money on the same targeted customer and not on getting new customers.
Times are and will continue to change and will force us to transition our marketing efforts from offline to online. Especially under our current circumstances as COVID-19 is a growing concern from families to business owners. Transitioning the profit cycle from a brick and mortar store to an online store is not the same process.

What is a Funnel and how does it work?
The term funnel in regards to online business was first coined by Russel Brunson, the creator of ClickFunnles. A funnel is a flow carries a customer from inception to point of sale. This simple strategy is explained in detail in Russel Brunson’s book Dot.com Secrets.
The funnel begins with a lead generation page (also known as squeeze page and landing page). From here the potential customer is requested to enter their information (whatever information the business would like to collect, but most importantly the customer’s email). To encourage them to enter their information there is a FREE offer that entices them. Once that is complete it directs the customer to a thank you page. Where they receive their FREE offer. This simple strategy can potentially take your business to the next level. There is a more strategic and complex method that uses the funnel strategy for exponential growth. Called the Profit Cycle, this specific cycle is the one Anthony Morrison uses in his multi-million-dollar businesses.
How the Profit Cycle and Funnel Formula Work Together For Profit
This simple formula is broken down into three sections and each has two subsections. We start with traffic, this can be complex and frustrating if you do not know where and how to find people online.
Traffic can come from anywhere online, but the best place to start is with your customers. Who are you marketing to? What are you marketing to them? Why are you marketing this to them? Will it solve a problem? What problem? These simple questions will allow you to narrow down where you want your traffic to come from. Examples are; Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google Ext. The Lead Generation Page
Once you know where your dream customer “hangs out” online, the second step is to funnel that traffic into a Lead Gen page also known as the squeeze page or landing page. On this page, the customer is encouraged to enter their email by offering them a completely FREE offer. It is suggested that the business owner goes BIG. Here is where the magic starts!!!
Once the customer enters their email it collected in what's called an AutoResponder. An example of an auto-responder is Get Response. The collected emails are then targeted with other or similar offers in an email sequence you design. Anthony Morrison teaches this amazing process here.
To recap, this page gives the customer two steps, 1. enter email 2.Claing free offer.
The Thank you Page
Once the email is entered the customer is redirected to what is called a Thank You Page. Here you can thank your customer for their interest in your product or service and let them know their FREE offer is on its way to their email. Then you transition into step 1, encouraging them to visit your online store and step 2 provides them with a coupon or code to use for a specific product/service or for anything on your site.
